Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur

Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace is the grand heritage palace in Udaipur which belongs to the HRH Group. Fateh Prakash Palace is located on the eastern shores of the picturesque Pichola Lake and looks like a fairy tale citadel. This palace was constructed in the early twentieth century during the reign of Maharana Fateh Singh and was used only for the royal functions. In the year 1990, this palace was converted into a Grand Heritage hotel. This hotel is elegantly decorated with miniature paintings of the Mewar School, portraits, personal artifacts and the armory of the Mewar dynasty. The guests can experience the royal hospitality and luxury in the Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace. It’s a legacy which has been kept alive since the early decades of the twentieth century when Maharana Fateh Singh used to be the royal occupant of this palace.

Location:
Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace is located about 3 kms. away from the Udaipur railway station and 26 km. from the airport. This hotel is located about 2 kms. away from the city centre.

Rooms:
The range of accommodation has grown with time at the Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace and the HRH Group has tried to preserve the heritage of royal Mewar. There are four Regal lake-facing suites and six Regal suites in the hotel which are decorated with four-poster beds, original paintings and period furniture, festooned with maroon velvet curtains and delicate silk tassels. The Dovecote is an integrated extension of the palace. It is located at the edge of the Pichola Lake. The 21 Dovecote suites provides a dazzling view of the lake, Jagmandir, Jagniwas, Sajjangarh Palace and the surrounding Aravalli Hills. All the rooms and suites are well equipped with modern facilities like attached bathroom with 24 hours hot and cold running water, telephone and television.

Restaurant:
The Durbar Hall and Gallery Restaurant have added a characteristic touch of class to the Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace. The Gallery Restaurant with its large arched windows offers a spectacular view of the Pichola Lake, island palaces and Aravalli hills. It serves Continental food and a variety of English teas. The Sunset View Terrace overlooks the Pichola Lake and serves sumptuous meals and light refreshments throughout the day. The Panera Bar at Shiv Niwas Palace is also open to the guests residing at Fateh Prakash Palace.
