Hotel Nawal Sagar Palace - Bundi |

Nawal
Sagar or Navlakha Sagar (Lake Worth A Million) adds a
contrast to the magnificence of the celestial fort and
Garh palace. Its cool ambience provides relief from the
energy oozing symbols of power and might.Probably with
such emotions Maha Rao Raja Ummed Singh (1748-1775)
commissioned an artificial lake right beneath the hill
on which the palace stands.A temple of Varuna, the God
of water, sustainer of all life forms stands in the
centres of the lake. The bathing ghats and royal
quarters were later constructed by Rani Sunder Shobha
and they are named after her.
