Bikaner House was built in 1893 as the summer residence for the royal family of Bikaner, during the rule of the Maharaja Ganga Singhji. This palace was designed by the legendary architect Sir Swinton Jacob and occupies one of the best locations in Mount Abu. In 1962, Maharaja Karni Singhji decided to convert the royal residence into the hotel. This palace was later known as the Palace Hotel. The Palace Hotel is the famous heritage hotel in Mount Abu and stands as testament to the legacy of the Maharajas of Bikaner. This hotel is situated on the vast grounds amidst tranquil hills. The guests came here to assimilate the flora and fauna, to experience the quiet and solitude, to stroll the gardens, to absorb the smell of pine and fresh leaves in the air, to sit by the lake or to simply do nothing. The Palace Hotel is located about 20 kms. away from the Falna railway station and 195 kms. away from the Udaipur airport. This hotel is located about 1 km. from the city centre.

The Dining Rooms in the Palace Hotel serves traditional, Indian and Continental cuisines. These dining rooms have also played host to many dignitaries and visiting heads of state in the past.
