Mandawa is situated in the Jhunjhunu district in the north eastern part of Rajasthan. Mandawa was founded in the 18th century. 

Mandawa Haveli was built in 1890 by a Marwari jeweller in Mandawa. This haveli has now been converted into a heritage hotel. Heritage Hotels are old Palaces, Forts and Grand mansions of Maharajas which have been later renovated and converted into Hotels. Mandawa Haveli, situated near Sonthaliya gate is a piece of architectural marvel. This haveli is the first frescoed haveli in Mandawa.
