Jehan Numa Palace was built
in the year 1890, during the
rule of Nawab Sultan Jehan
Begum by her second son
General Obaidullah Khan,
Commander-in-Chief of the
erstwhile Bhopal State
force. After the death of
the General, the Palace went
through many occupational
adjustments, finally the
grandsons of General
Obaidullah Khan came up with
a dream to convert this
Palace into a world class
Hotel. Their dream became a
reality in the month of
September 1983, when it was
officially opened. Today 'Jehan
Numa Palace is one of the
six "Grand Heritage" hotels
in India. Jehan Numa Palace
is also the only "Grand
Heritage" property in the
West and Central zone. . |
